Moodle - VLE: Introduction to Moodle

The Moodle 'M' logo Moodle - VLE

Moodle is your Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where you will:

  • find essential course information;
  • find resources related to your course, such as readings and recordings;
  • be asked to complete activities, such as quizzes, or engage in collaborative learning, for example discussion forums;
  • see posts and announcements from your tutors;
  • be required to submit assessed work (or evidence of work completed);
  • receive feedback on assessed work.

You will have access to variety of pages on Moodle, including:

  • pages for the modules you are enrolled on for this academic year;
  • a programme page for the programme you are enrolled on;
  • a personal tutor page.

Once you can see your courses on Moodle, take some time to familiarise yourself with the online course space, including the digital resources that are available and any online activities that you will be asked to engage in.

If you cannot see much information initially on your course pages, please wait to hear from your Programme team for further information about how Moodle will be used on your course.
